DESCRIPTION:This webinar will be about Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) Performance and the Impact of Solar Activity on Aircraft Navigation Systems.  Dr. S.V. “Vince” Massimini will present on WAAS and solar activity. Everyone has heard of sunspots\, and old pilots know about age spots. But have you had trouble getting an LPV approach to load in your Global Positioning System/Wide Area Augmentation System (GPS/WAAS) navigator in recent months? It is probably related to solar activity and sunspots.
