DESCRIPTION:The mission of the EAA Young Eagles Program is to provide a meaningful flight experience – free of charge –\nin a general aviation aircraft for young people (primarily between the ages of 8 and 17). Flights are provided\nby EAA members world wide. The program was launched in 1992 and has flown over 2 million kids. \nIt’s the only program of its kind\, with the sole mission to introduce and inspire kids in the world of aviation. \nEAA Chapter 36 is proud to be a part of this exciting program. \nFor more information from EAA headquarters about the Young Eagles program\, visit www.youngeagles.org \nAt the Local Level:\nChapter 36 has flown over 7\,000 kids\, with 375 flown in 2024. \nFlights usually last around 15-20 minutes\, and are normally available between 9:00 AM and 1:30 PM during Young Eagles events. *Weather Permitting*

One important component of our ongoing efforts to improve surface safety at Easton Airport involves conducting a Runway Safety Action Team (RSAT) meeting at least once each year. You are cordially invited and encouraged to join our next meeting: \nThe purpose of this RSAT meeting is to unite those individuals and organizations that are actively involved in airside operations and movement of aircraft\, vehicles\, and equipment on the Airport Operations Area (AOA). We look for participation from all major airport interests (tenants\, fixed base operators\, and airport operations and maintenance personnel). Participants are asked to help develop recommendations and solutions to enhance surface safety. Everyone has heard of sunspots\, and old pilots know about age spots. But have you had trouble getting an LPV approach to load in your Global Positioning System/Wide Area Augmentation System (GPS/WAAS) navigator in recent months? It is probably related to solar activity and sunspots.
