The Maryland Aviation Council (MAC) and Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Aviation Administration (MDOT MAA) have teamed up for the 2025 Maryland Aviation Art Contest, encouraging young artists to celebrate the achievements of “Women with Wings.” This contest invites Maryland children ages 6-17 to express their creativity and honor women pioneers in aviation through art.
Participants are inspired to showcase how women find freedom and inspire others through their love for flight, using any permanent art medium such as paint, markers, or crayons.
State Awards: The top three entries in each category will advance to the National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) national contest and receive the following awards.
- 1st place Discovery Flight
- 2nd place $50 gift card for art supplies
- 3rd place $25 gift card for art supplies
